Main Settings
The main settings page is reachable by clicking on Specific Content For Mobile from the backend admin navigation.
You will find the options to:
- Synchronize the metadata between desktop and mobile pages.
- Select a different theme for mobile.
- Decide if tablets are mobile devices.
- Disable unnecessary plugins only for mobile devices.
General metadata synchronization
With this option, you can decide if the mobile pages should inherit the desktop metadata or have their metadata.
If the metadata are synchronized when you change it on the desktop the plugin will automatically update the metadata of the mobile page and vice versa.
Theme on mobile
With this option, you can choose a different theme for mobile devices.
It can be both a parent or child theme.
Tablets
With this option, you can decide if tablets should be or not be considered like mobile devices. By default, SCFM will consider all tablets like mobile devices.
Plugins
You can deselect all the plugins you don’t need for mobile devices.
if you don’t show any popups on mobile, you should disable the popup plugin for mobile devices.
Mobile devices usually have a less powerful CPU and a slower internet connection, so your website should be as light as possible for those devices. Keep only the plugins that are needed on mobile.
By clicking on “Select active plugins on mobile” you will go to the settings page where you can unload the unnecessary plugins.
